COMPLIANT PRE-STRESS IMPLANT FIXATION
A prosthetic device for use in joint replacement in a bone. This invention relates to a joint-replacement prosthetic device, and in particular to a prosthetic device for use in knee-joint and hip-joint replacement.
The Compress Implant Fixation is an improved joint-replacement prosthetic device which solves or minimizes many of the known and discussed problems associated with prior art prosthetic devices.
The device provides advantages such as substantially physiological load transfer from the device to the supporting bone, load transfer from the device to the bone near the joint; and immediate, rigid, and durable attachment of the device sufficient to withstand stresses from full range-of-motion exercises in the post-operative period.
